Approach Personnel are currently recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join a respected Maintenance Subcontractor based in Southampton. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established company specialising in social housing repairs, voids, maintenance, and painting projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of various maintenance contracts, ensuring the successful delivery and profitability of projects, assessing costs, and preparing valuation reports. You will liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure project targets are achieved efficiently and within budget.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the social housing sector.
- Knowledge of social housing repairs, voids, maintenance, or painting sectors.
- Proven ability to prepare and review quotations, contracts, and payments.
- Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and contractual claims.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Neon, Candy, or similar cost management tools is desirable.
